Soooo this is a tricky one.  Often in our salon we will get clients who come in wanting super dramatic Kim Kardasian lashes, and there is nothing wrong with this, until..........WE LOOK AT YOUR NATURAL LASHES. When a potential comes in requesting drama, we always make sure to look at your natural lashes first to make sure that this is something they can hold without damaging your natural lashes. There we are surprised and the client has long fabulous natural lashes!!!  More often than not, when a client lays down they do not have the lashes to hold such a dramatic look with classic lashes. We are constantly educating  our clients as to what their natural lashes can hold and what they cannot hold.  These clients are also another reason why our salon sells Plume and Eye Envy like it's going out of style! Once the growth serums kick in, the lashes can hold a more dramatic extension and the result= happy client and happy tech!

The great thing is that lashes have come a long way! If a client is wanting something more dramatic, we often recommend XL, hybrid, volume or Mega volume. We, at Eye Candy love the ability to customize the best set of lashes for your eyes that will accommodate what you like and what we, in our professional opinion, will compliment you!  We typically recommend to start more natural and see what your lashes can hold, then work your way up to more drama.   

On the other end of the spectrum , we also have older clients who think that extensions will automatically be crazy long and thick and that they would never want extensions because they are "too old" for extensions.

That is 100% not a fact! We keep pictures and can show clients the many different sizes and thicknesses that we offer. We often do beautiful natural sets that will allow client's inner beauty to show without having to get up and put mascara on every morning. 

Anyhow, I digress.  The moral of this story, is that client education is a very important part of our job as a lash artist. Taking the time and sit down to educate your clients and stressing proper aftercare and health of their natural lashes is a very important part of lashing! Most clients appreciate it and you will have yourself an appreciative loyal client!
